ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

One to one education which is contemporary,creative,far away from memorization,based on visual and audiotary teaching techniques and which gives importance to thinking and knowledge accumulation towards our great ancestor Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK’s principles and revolutions is aimed in our school where we believe that the most important investment is the investment made upon human being towards the principle that “the most important legacy we can give to our children is education and culture.”

Our school is limited to 205 where the classes consist of 24 students.At 1st,2nd and 3rd classes which compose the first step of primary school,we perform an education called “the education without carrying bags” This education provides both the students’ preparing their assignments for the day after under the guidence of their teachers at their classes which defeats the homework phobia,their gaining responsibility and also gives the consciousness of solving their problems by theirselves and the opportunity of reading,painting,listening;briefly this type of education provides their studying at the field that they desire after returning home from school.

Research exercises are performed at 4th,5th,6th,7th and 8th classes which form the second step of primary school.The students reinforce their knowledges by doing exercises about their lessons and prepare the assignments that are given under the guidence of their class and major teachers.

We give importance to the subject which is to  have the children gain reading habit in our school.Besides the student’s taking the advantage of class and school libraries, same books that suit to their level are bought for the students for reading to control their reading.

Students talk about the books that they read.By this way both the opportunity for explication,discussing,thinking,creating new ideas and summarizing what they understand from the book they read by sentences that contain wide meanings are given to the students.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING ( BILINGUAL EDUCATION )

 Since the world that we are living in is globalized and for the reason of fast development of technology and the age of knowledge everything has been dwelling a fast change and at the period of this fast change it is essential that the need for learning foreign language increases every passing day and communication skills compose the focal point of foreign language learning.

We perform Bilingual Education starting English as a second language from nursery school and German as a third language beginning from the 4th grade of primary school.We benefit from various visual and auditory materials at nursery school for to have our students like the foreign language that they have newly met and their listening and speaking skills are improved by teaching English with chants,plays and drama.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING AT THE 1ST AND 2ND GRADE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL

1-At 1st and 2nd grades of our primary school;we make English enjoyable as far as possible with various visual and auditory materials and practices that suit to students’ levels are made with games,drama and chants primarily improving their listening skill.

2-At 3rd and 4th grade of our primary school;we improve our students’ reading and writing skills while improving their listening skill and provide their being able to use the structures they learn with drama activities related to their subjects in real life conditions.

3-At the 5th grade of our primary school;English is used as a means of communication and both an effective and permanent learning is provided with the materials prepared intended for various learning types.Their knowledge is reinforced by practicing on visual materials.

4-At the 6th 7th and 8th grades of our primary school;our students gain 4 fundamental skills and use them.The necessary learning environment is provided for their being able to analyze and comment the text they read and tell their feelings and thoughts by being able to write stories and compositions and being able to use the foreign language in the fluent and correct way by the drama acitivities.

FAST AND EFFECTIVE READING

We should teach our children that nowadays the most effective way of learning is reading.We should have them compass that the improvement of the life experience,thought,improving consciousness,feelings’ and intuitions’ getting stronger is related to reading.

We should point the ways of being a good reader besides literacy.We should inspire them the love of reading and provide their having pleasure from reading.Therefore we should teach them reading  what at when and  the ways and methods of reading.For that aim;Effective and Fast Reading lesson is set in our school.Effective and Fast Reading Lesson is taught in all classes at our research periods by our Turkish Language teacher.Furthermore Fast Understanding,Easy Learning Exercises and exercises about Recording Methods To Memory is made.

Reading hour is coordinated  by playing classical music when both all students and also the staff of the school participates on each Monday.Our students perform reading exercises with pleasure.

COMPUTER BASED EDUCATION

Since our administration whom are conscious that the students of nowadays are the people who are going to live at the 21st century;we have  been performing computer based teaching since our foundation time of 1997 for to train our students towards the requirements of the age we are living.Our students can reach to the information that they search for fastly through internet at our school where we have fast ADSL internet connection.

If we aim to train the 21st century’s person who should be able to give respond to the requirements of the age,who should be able to use the learning and who should be able to share them with others,moreover the usage of computer’s being an effective part of education and teaching process;we should give importance to computer based training which has a great role in this century both for students and teachers.

STUDIES INTENDED FOR STUDENTS

Within the studies of Computer Teaching Usage,having our students gain skills of computer usage is aimed beginning from nursery school to 8th grade of our primary school.In this respect we teach fundamental informations about computer such as both the working system and the usage of hardware which composes the computer with the pieces such as mouse,keyboard,mother board,screen card,box,monitor vs. , the usage of Windows Operating System, various types of Office programmes such as; word, excell, power point and the usage of internet in a gradual way which suits to their degrees.Our students can also benefit from our computer laboratory for various practices.

STUDIES INTENDED FOR TEACHERS

The important part of the studies of Computer Usage Teaching consists of studies that are made with our teachers.Teachers who are the spearhead of the societies’ variation and development should be aware of the improvement on data processing technology and should be the person who is able to use the computer effectively in the class as teacher’s taking a role of being the collimator and trainer of the new generations who are expected to suit to 21st century.Therefore within the studies of Computer Usage Teaching;the studies which are  for to have our teachers improve their  computer usage abilities according to the innovations  that the age of computer offers are provided with our inner service courses.

COOPERATION OF THE SCHOOL AND FAMILY

Positive contributions of the school and the family to the education and teaching duration is known by many educationalists and families.Within the guidance horizon  that is performed for to provide the participation of the families, enrichment of family and education experience is aimed in our school.Many written materials are brought to our families and our families are invited to the school for to take part in education and teaching duration by the contributions of our teachers and students.Conferences are constructed intended for our education staff,families and students by professional teaching officers within the close cooperations and communications that are provided between our school and universities.As a result; communication of School-Family-Student is provided to settle on a pedagogic ground.

We have been working in a great interdependence and cooperation with the effort to create the missed education model for our  children who are the assurances of our future in our school where our families can present their positive and negative criticisms easily.

OUR ASSESSMENT AND GUIDANCE SERVICE

Assessment takes place in every place where learning and teaching exist.Our assessment service gives respond to the questions for our teachers such as “how a good question can be prepared,how a structure analyze can be made after a test is performed.” Besides it also comments research reports and basic statistical results.It observes the exams,investigates the ration cards and cooperates with teachers for to improve the success during the education and teaching period.Our school administration presents all of the possibilities that the technology includes.The Psychological Consultancy and Guidance Service existing in our school makes more effective studies with the assistance of the proficient by working with computer.

STUDIES OF OUR ASSESSMENT SERVICE

1.Exam of Success:

Classes:4th,5th,6th,7th,8th grades

Aim:Have the students gain the habit of attention,preparation for the exam psychology,general repetition of the studied subjects and to return and repeat the subjects that are not understood and complete the lackings.

2.Exam of Scanning

Classes: 4th,5th,6th,7th,8th grades

Aim: The subject is performed after it is taught.It evaluates the understanding level of the subject.The subjects that are not understood are repeated before they exposure to accumulation.

3.Trial Tests

It is performed for 8th grade students.

GUIDANCE

Guidance is a systematic,scientific and professional process of help that is made to the person by proficient people ;to identify the person,to introduce the person to himself/herself,The person’s being able to solve his/her problems,to provide his/her taking realist decisions, to improve their capacities and his/her being able to transduce to the environment he/she lives in and by this way the person’s being able to execute himself/herself.

The aim of The Guidance and The Psychological Consultancy is;

1-To help the person know himself in physical,emotional and social ways

2-To help the person for his/her identifying the open opportunities of improvement at society,inner and outer education facilities,jobs and to help the person for his/her realizing the expectations of the society

3-To help the person improve  his/her power of problem release

4-To help the person in his/her being able to take correct decisions

5-To help the person in his/her being able to gain the behaviours and skills for to form positive relations with his/her social environment

6-To help the student to bring up as a person  whom executed himself/herself and whom is healthy in psychological way and beneficial for society. 

STUDIES OF OUR GUIDANCE SERVICE

1-Educational Guidance: is a service which helps the person to know him/herself,to have the person gain the sense which will support his/her being successfull and weel-matched in his/her future life,to have the person improve his/her power on solving problems,to have the person be able to take correct decisions and him being a beneficial person for the society.

a)Individual Meeting: is to have a talk one to one  with the student  to help the student to solve his/her problems.

b)Group Studies: consists of the student’s be able to speak,express him/herself in the group and studies of socialization.

OCCUPATIONAL GUIDANCE

Occupational Guidance is an assistance activity which makes the person bend to the most appropriate one and makes the person choose the most agreeable career by identifying the person’s interests,abilities and the person’s limited and strong ways.

It helps the student how he should study while proceeding to the target he/she aims and helps on executing a good education by emphasizing the ways of effective studying,listening,the importance of noting.It creates facilities which reduces anxiety of exam.

INDIVIDUAL GUIDANCE

Individual Guidance service is intended for educational,occupational and sensorial fields,concerning invidual and personal problems which  is defined by the family,teacher,guide teacher of the class  and the guide teacher.Appropriate solution ways are searched within the evaluations of the guide teacher.

Guide teacher decides student’s taken to either an assistance duration or having them canalized to proficient people or institutions and monitors the result in the cases she approves.

Educational,occupational and individual guidance services intended for person’s being healthy,successful and his/her being able to improve the abilities and using them that he/she owns.The administration of the school,the teachers,the family and the guide teachers should work in sense union and coordination for these services being carried out healthful and to be able to get output.

OPERATION FIELDS OF GUIDANCE SERVICE

1.Studies For Getting The Student Accustomed To The Environment And School: The school and the neighbourhood is introduced to the student.Identifying the school and the neighbourhood and realizing the ways of benefiting from the environment effects to the success of the students.


2.Studies For To Identify The Students: Making an effective guidance to the students is impossible instead of identifying the students.Thus it is necessary to benefit from objective and reliable identifying techniques.

3. Studies Of Psychological Guidance: It is a psychological relation that is established for to search solution ways to various problems by meeting with students individually.

4.Studies Of Collecting Information And Bending To School And Occupation: Collecting the necessary information for to bend and settle them to various inner school programmes and occupations is a very important duty field of guidance service.

5.Studies Of Monitoring And Evaluation: Studies Of Monitoring is arranged in two ways as being in the school and out of the school.In all ways guidance requires continuity.The achivement and accordance of the students whom are bended to educational activities,lessons and courses are monitored.As a result of monitoring efficaciousness of bending and emplacement studies come out.
